Upscale Windstar Cruises eyes the Middle East region

Promising unforgettable, intimate and stylish luxury experiences exploring glistening waters spanning the globe, Windstar Cruises, an exclusive small ship, yacht-style cruise line, has heightened its partnership with expert in global travel distribution, Discover the World, in a bid to expand its sales development within the Middle East region.

Discover the World currently represents Windstar Cruises in Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Panama, Russia and Serbia.

“Windstar is expanding its fleet and sailing to new destinations in Asia and Arabia,” explained Jenny Adams, CEO, Discover the World.

“With the increased capacity along with growing interest from this market, Windstar selected our UAE office, which has built strong relationships with the local travel agencies, to grow its presence in this marketplace and increase its brand awareness,” she added.

The high-end Windstar Cruises operates a fleet of small luxury cruise ships offering incomparable voyages to the world's most exclusive small ports and hidden harbours. Its three recently renovated sailing yachts carry just 148 to 310 guests and cruise to 50 nations, calling at 150 ports throughout Europe, the South Pacific, the Caribbean and Central America.

In May 2014, the company launched Star Pride, the first of three newly acquired yachts. In May 2015 the company will be introducing Star Breeze and Star Legend. The yachts, with a capacity of 212 guests each, will double the size of its fleet. The additional capacity is expected to open up new itineraries such as voyages to Southeast Asia, Arabia and Iceland, plus more.
