Etihad Airways inaugurates luxury lounge at LAX

Marking a new era for upscale travellers from Los Angeles to the UAE capital, Etihad Airways has celebrated the opening of its exquisite First and Business Class Lounge in the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Representing the third lounge of this kind in the US, the new facility takes a fresh approach to the standard designs and layouts of generic airport lounges. It features the ‘Modern Arabian’ decorative elements that characterise the airline’s new international lounges, drawing inspiration from the geometric patterns found in Abu Dhabi’s charming architecture and its desert landscape.

Those visiting the First and Business Class Lounge can relax in comfortable seating, indulge in à la carte cuisine or make the most of the facility’s bar, TV area, showers, complimentary high-speed WiFi, multi-zone electrical and USB power outlets, and a selection of international magazines and daily newspapers. Meanwhile, a separate VIP area can also be made available when required.

The Etihad Airways First and Business Class Lounge Los Angeles can be accessed by Etihad Airways’ first class and business class guests, Etihad Guest Platinum, Gold and Silver members flying on EY170, and Etihad Airways Partner (EAP) airlines’ equivalent Platinum and Gold members.

Martin Drew, senior vice president – Americas, Etihad Airways enthused: “As a world-leading airline, Etihad Airways continues to redefine travel, setting new benchmarks for innovative service on the ground and in the air.”

He continued: “Our new First and Business Class Lounge in Los Angeles demonstrates our unwavering commitment to travellers on the US West Coast, and in the United States as a whole, by providing them with the intuitive hospitality they have come to expect from our people and our brand. It gives us great pleasure to inaugurate this facility.”
