Emirates Airline: Incomparable comfort at Cape Town International Airport

Those wishing to relax before taking to the skies aboard Emirates Airline’s daily flights between Cape Town and Dubai need look no further, as the carrier has opened a new, two-level premium lounge at Cape Town International Airport, specifically for first and business class passengers, and Skywards Platinum and Gold members.

The luxurious lounge, a result of a $2.89 million investment, is situated in the international departures corridor, next to the airline’s boarding point at Gate A3.

Equipped to accommodate 123 people comfortably, the lounge was specifically designed to provide the utmost comfort and impeccable service.

It represents the Dubai-based carrier’s 39th lounge in its network of over 150 global points, while Cape Town is the 14th destination to feature the airline’s new and charming lounge design concept, comprising Italian marble floors, leather armchairs and walnut wood finishes.

The elite can make the most of a dedicated dining area with a choice of bar seating, an extensive menu of complimentary and delicious hot and cold gourmet foods served buffet style, and a beverage service which offers a wide variety of drinks to choose from.

Meanwhile, the brand new lounge also houses a fully-equipped business centre with state-of-the-art touch screen workstations and offers complimentary WiFi. A dedicated lift transports travellers to the upper level of the lounge, which features a quiet seating area, main dining room, a second TV area, main restroom with showers and a prayer room.

Emirates Airline offers its customers two daily flights between Cape Town and Dubai, and is gearing up to introduce a third daily service on July 4 of this year.
