High-tech events centre gracing Kempinski Hotel Amman in early 2019

Readying itself for an exciting new era, Jordan’s luxurious Kempinski Hotel Amman is in the final stages of completing its brand-new conference and events centre, which is slated to open its doors in early 2019.

This project is a result of a three-year, multi-million dollar project, meticulously designed to equip the culture-fueled city of Amman with a high-quality conference, exhibition and banquet venue.

Within the dazzling new conference and events centre is a grand ballroom, a multi-purpose exhibition hall, a large outdoor roof terrace and three circular panoramic VIP meeting rooms. Those opting to use the facility will benefit from state-of-the-art, never-seen-before audio-visual equipment, installed by Shen, Milsom & Wilke.

Decorating the stunning grand ballroom are 14 sparkling Swarovski crystal chandeliers, each of which is made up of 3,072 strands of crystal. Just above the beautiful grand ballroom is the Onyx Hall, which is a multi-purpose space offering plenty of natural daylight. The Onyx Hall spans 760m2, and boasts an additional 250m2 outdoor terrace.

Those looking for an open-air space for their summer events can also book the 650m2 Sky Terrace, while three panoramic VIP function rooms offer delegates breath-taking vistas of buzzing Amman.

As well as these new additions, Kempinski Hotel Amman’s portfolio also comprises 12 existing function rooms, including the 450m2 Al Reem Ballroom, thus reinforcing its reputation as a MICE leader in the country. The stunningly decorated rooms and dining venues of the main hotel are seamlessly connected to the new meeting and events centre via a new reception and lobby area, situated on the Mezzanine level between the two buildings.

Enthusing on the soon-to-open facilities was Mark Timbrell, general manager, Kempinski Hotel Amman: “This stunning new project will position Kempinski Hotel Amman as the premier meeting, exhibition and wedding venue in the capital. We already have a good number of confirmed events for next year, and inquiries are coming in daily.”

Timbrell added: “It is an exciting time for the team as we emerge from the three-year construction period with this fantastic new addition to the hotel. For many delegates it will be the end of long drives to the Dead Sea, and for many wedding couples and their guests, an opportunity to experience another level of luxury in Amman.”
