Six Senses Hotels, Resorts, Spas to make grand debut in Europe

Extending its magical offering of opulence on a brand new continent, Six Senses Hotels, Resorts, Spas is gearing up to unveil its very first resort in Europe, scheduled for Spring 2015.

Situated in the picturesque Portuguese UNESCO World Heritage area of the sun-kissed Douro Valley, the property features romantic 19th century architecture entwined with contemporary interiors, mirroring the ethos of the incomparable Six Senses brand.

The ultra-luxury resort covers 19 acres and houses 71 exclusive guest rooms and suites which range from stunning Valley, Spa and River rooms to spacious suites and one-, two- and three-bedroom villas.

Making use of the region’s abundance of fresh produce and its own private garden are the property’s outlets, the all-day dining restaurant and a specialty restaurant.

And of course, the stunning retreat also features a fabulous 2,200m² Six Senses Spa with 10 treatments rooms. Offering the Six Senses specialty treatments and multi-day programmes, the spa has a menu of locally-inspired therapies. The spa will also offer a Six Senses Visiting Practitioner Programme, which features over 100 of the world’s best wellness healers, practitioners and experts.

The group’s renowned Yogic Programs are also being added to the menu of services.

Spa facilities include a heated indoor pool with water jets, a heated outdoor pool and bar, and a gym with the latest exercise equipment and professional guidance.

For further relaxation, guests can retire to the resort’s library and enjoy one of its many books.
