Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino draws curtain on stunning renovation

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has announced the reopening of the illustrious Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino, which has been one of the city’s landmarks for over four decades.

Following an extensive renovation, the hotel has unveiled dazzling new interiors and a new and vibrant aesthetic, as well as revamped and upgraded public spaces and enlivened dining concepts.

Nestled on the West Bank of the River Nile, the hotel stands in a prime city centre location and is a short distance from the Egyptian Museum, the resplendent Cairo Opera House and the monumental 70-storey Cairo Tower.

Alex Kyriakidis, president and managing director – Middle East and Africa, Marriott International spoke of the project: “Sheraton Cairo was our first Sheraton hotel in Africa and has been a local icon since it’s opening in 1971. The reopening of this hotel is a milestone in our journey as it not only showcases our transformation efforts around the Sheraton brand, but also reinstates our commitment to Egypt as a strategic growth market.”

The property’s 326 rooms and suites have been fully renovated, and now sport bright features and an irresistible combination of modern design with a vibrant palette.

Guests can make most of the hotel’s exquisite leisure facilities, comprising an extensive fitness centre, a luxurious pool and a state-of-the-art wellness centre, or can embark on an enriching culinary experience at one of the hotel’s six distinctive restaurants and bars.
