sbe marks momentous entry into Qatar and New York

sbe has officially inaugurated two magnificent properties on two different continents; the long-awaited Mondrian Doha in Qatar and Mondrian Park Avenue in New York.

Speaking on the momentous occasion was Sam Nazarian, founder and CEO, sbe: “Mondrian is a brand with international allure and we're thrilled to announce the openings in Doha and New York – two of the most dynamic and vibrant cities in the world.

“Mondrian is an extremely valuable brand to sbe and we look forward to bringing it to more cities around the world in the coming months and years as we expand our international footprint,” Nazarian added.

Representing sbe’s first-ever hospitality venture in the Middle East, Mondrian Doha is designed by the world recognised Marcel Wanders product and interior design studio, and is already being heralded one of the world’s most unique luxury hotels.

The illustrious property comprises 270 stunning rooms; four lavishly-appointed restaurants, including the legendary Morimoto and CUT by Wolfgang Puck; two curated bar outlets; the world’s largest ESPA; and one of the largest and most beautiful ballrooms in Qatar.

Moving on, Mondrian Park Avenue, designed by the brilliant Philippe Starck, makes a bold statement with its location in the heart of buzzing Manhattan.

The marvellous property comprises 189 rooms boasting true Park Avenue finesse and a rooftop lounge offering unrivalled views of New York City.

Furthermore, sbe’s award-winning culinary concept, Cleo, is set to make its New York debut at the property.

Looking to the future, the Mondrian brand is due to expand into Dubai, the UAE, in 2019 and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, by 2020.
