Prestigious Le Méridien Abu Dhabi regains five-star status

Following a detailed and incredibly in-depth renovation project, Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is once again a celebrated five-star property.

The landmark 40-year-old property regained its five-star status from Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, which again recognises it as one of the UAE capital’s most distinguished hospitality players.

Owner of the hotel, Abu Dhabi National Hotels, took it upon itself to conduct the comprehensive renovation, which entailed an extensive transformation of all 248 rooms and suites, as well as the public spaces. The project was influenced by the unique culture and energy of the Le Méridien brand, and ensures that the ultimate level of luxury services and accommodation is offered.

One of the most notable changes at Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is the Le Méridien Hub, which is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional hotel lobby. The new lobby offers its visitors a wide variety of opportunities to meet, connect and savour special moments.

Khalid Anib, CEO, Abu Dhabi National Hotels enthused: “As a leading hospitality company, our strategy has always been to restore and modernise our existing hotels, and I am pleased to see the outcome of the comprehensive renovation of Le Méridien Abu Dhabi.

“We are satisfied with nothing less than excellence throughout our growing hotel portfolio, and I am grateful to the board of directors of Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) for all their support in making these projects a reality,” he added.
