Luxurious AVANI brand to enter Oman in 2020

Further sprinkling its hospitality magic across the Middle East, Minor Hotels has partnered with Safari International Group for the very first AVANI-branded property in Oman.

Scheduled to open its illustrious doors for business in 2020 in the Seeb area of the Omani capital, AVANI Muscat Hotel will be home to 160 beautiful guest rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, an AVANI Pantry, a rooftop lounge, a swimming pool and health club, a 1,000m2 ballroom and eight meeting rooms.

Two years after its opening, AVANI Muscat Hotel will also launch 90 serviced apartments, inclusive of studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, and two 175m2 three-bedroom apartments.

In an ideal location for discerning business and leisure travellers, the upscale property will be directly linked to the soon-to-open Al Araimi Boulevard Mall, which, upon opening, will comprise more than 250 retail and dining outlets, a medical centre and a 10-screen cinema complex.

Commenting on the new project was Dillip Rajakarier, CEO, Minor Hotels: “Bringing AVANI to Oman is a key component of our strategic expansion plans and we are delighted to be partnering with Safari International Group to develop this exciting new addition to Muscat’s hotel scene. Seeb is already a key residential area in Muscat, which as the city grows westwards will become a significant hub and we are confident AVANI will represent a great fit in this fast developing neighbourhood.”

Meanwhile, Ismail Al-Tubi, owner, Safari International Group said: “Located adjacent to the Mall of Araimi Boulevard in a lively commercial area, the new AVANI will be the gateway to the vital entertainment and tourism sector that the country needs, especially with the opening of the new Muscat International Airport, which is expected to receive more than 12 million passengers a year.”
