Five-star Dusit Doha Hotel opening in Qatar this year

Qatar is gearing up for its very first Dusit-branded hotel, which will be located in Doha’s buzzing West Bay area.

Scheduled to open its doors for business in Q4 of 2018, the five-star Dusit Doha Hotel will woo guests with its charming Thai hospitality. Standing in a prime location, the hotel will grant luxury travellers seamless access to some of the city’s most popular spots, such as the Souq Waqif, Katara Cultural Village and The Pearl. Adding to this, guest can enjoy its close proximity to the airport, which is a short 25-minute drive away.

Suphajee Suthumpun, CEO, Dusit International, remarked on the exciting development: “It’s an exciting time for Qatar and we’re delighted to announce the Dusit Doha Hotel, our second property with the Al Majed Group. The hotel will be designed keeping in mind the latest developments in the vibrant city, to resonate with both business and leisure travellers alike.”

The luxurious Dusit Doha Hotel will boast 357 beautifully appointed keys, made up of 261 guest rooms and suites and 96 one-, two- and three-bedroom hotel apartments.

Visitors to the property will be granted access to a plethora of modern facilities, amenities and comfortable furnishings.

Al Majed Group’s Ahmed Mahdi Al Majed reflected on the news: “Qatar is set to host two of the world’s largest sporting events: the FIFA World Cup 2022 – in which the country is expecting to host more than one million international visitors for the World Cup itself – and the World Athletic Championship in 2019, which serves as a right time for us to open Dusit Doha Hotel to welcome the organisers, sponsors and consultants who will be making Doha their home for the next few years. Dusit – being the first five-star hotel in Qatar with Thai culture and heritage, would enable the vast Thai experience to the valuable customers.

“We have an excellent long-term relationship with Dusit International and firmly believe in their product quality and high standards of service. We look forward to yet another successful collaboration with them,” he concluded.
