Dubai prepares for unprecedented luxury with signing of Bulgari property

Upping the luxury hospitality game in the city of skyscrapers, Meraas Holding, a Dubai-based real estate development company, recently signed an agreement with the opulent and utterly luxurious Bulgari Hotels and Resorts to introduce the prestigious brand to Dubai.

The deal was signed at Bulgari’s flagship store in culture-fuelled Rome, in the presence of HE Abdulla Al Habbai, group chairman, Meraas Holding and Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO, Bulgari Group.

Promising the ultimate luxury experience, the Bulgari hotel at Jumeirah Bay island will form part of an iconic 557,418m² mixed-use development, meticulously sculpted in the shape of a seahorse and located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Road. It will feature beautiful low-rise residential villas and a marina.

Featuring gracefully landscaped gardens, the luxury complex will span 157,935m². The Bulgari Hotel will offer luxury seekers 100 majestic rooms and suites in the main hotel buildings, 20 hotel villas and a wide variety of luxury hotel facilities.

Designed by Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, the hotel will fuse traditional and modern themes through the juxtaposition of new and conventional architecture, which is set to reflect the design and style of the surrounding area.

Al Habbai illustrated: “In keeping with the tourism directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, our agreement with Bulgari Hotels and Resorts marks a new milestone in our journey to play a pivotal role in shaping Dubai’s tourism and hospitality landscape. We are confident the new resort will emerge as a welcome addition to Dubai’s iconic shoreline.

Through this key partnership, we will be expanding our portfolio in the hospitality sector in line with Dubai Vision 2020 for tourism.

Babin enthused: “We are delighted to launch this visionary project that will convey Bulgari’s core values of contemporary design, magnificent craftsmanship and artistic detail.  This project is for us part of a larger plan to forge a stronger presence in the GCC.”
