Design Hotels announces launch of Ham Yard Hotel in Soho, London

Oozing ultimate British luxury, Ham Yard Hotel, situated in the stunning, culture-fueled city of London, has officially opened, following an announcement by Design Hotels, marking Firmdale Hotels’ eighth property in the city.

Firmdale Hotels owners, Tim Kemp and Kit Kemp have transformed a three-quarter acre site in the buzzing Soho area into a multidimensional luxury retreat.

The purpose-built 91-room hotel, also boasting 24 residential apartments, encompasses a unique tree-filled pedestrian thoroughfare complemented by a restaurant, bar and 13 handpicked specialty stores.

Guests can revel in the property’s comfort and entertainment options, with a sumptuous drawing room, library, Soholistic spa, 188-seat theatre and an original 1950s bowling alley to enjoy. The cherry on the cake is the property’s leafy rooftop garden.

Reflecting a distinct urban village feel, rooms and suites have all been individually designed.

Each room houses dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the luscious courtyard greenery or the London skyline.

Bathrooms are a sophisticated mix of granite and oak, and launching at Ham Yard is Firmdale’s new amenities line, RikRak, offering shampoo and conditioner, pillow sprays and candles. All designed by Kit Kemp and made in England, light scents of gardenia and green leaf are balanced by orange flower blossom and bergamot.
