Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas opens fifth retreat in Abu Dhabi

Far-flung in the Far East and dotted with tropical temples, Bali entrances and mystifies all.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has revealed Bali, Indonesia as the next exotic location of a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The exclusive resort is slated to open in Ubud in the summer of 2015, joining the beautiful collection which includes Phulay Bay, Thailand and Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico.

Ubud is located in the spiritual and cultural heart of Bali, in a district famous for its arts and crafts as well as its iconic temples and monasteries. This exceptional property occupies a prime yet secluded position in the gentle hills along the Ayung River, with views of Bali's famous terraced rice paddy fields adjacent to the village temple.

The property is expected to have 60 intimate villas and suites showcasing local architectural features indigenous to Bali with elements of the local art scene giving the Ritz-Carlton Reserve a powerful yet rare sense of place.

Every space is designed to be carefully curated to amplify the sophisticated individuality and needs of each guest. Lush gardens, hillside views, meditative areas and meandering pathways follow the natural lie of the land and lead to a luxurious spa offering bespoke treatments and two swimming pools designed to respect the guest's needs for privacy and intimate personal space.
