Fairmont Ajman opens arms to new Turkish restaurant, Kiyi

The illustrious Fairmont Ajman is inviting the elite to tantalise their tastebuds at its newly launched outlet, Kiyi, a traditional Turkish restaurant situated on the lobby level of the hotel.

Kiyi celebrates the diversity of Turkish cuisine and culture through a classic menu with a contemporary twist. Dishes include succulent grills such as the customary Kuzu Şiş (Turkish lamb kebab) and Pilic Budu Izgara (grilled chicken kebab), plus delicacies such as Et Sotesi (pan fried beef fillet in rich tomato sauce) and Kuzu Tandır (beautifully slow cooked lamb shank).

Kiyi also offers a tempting seafood selection and serves up dishes such as Kılıç Balıgı Izgara (coriander marinated grilled swordfish) and Deniz Urunleri Sis (an selection of grilled seafood; shrimps, sea bass, calamari and scallops).

Commenting on the new addition was Fahri Karatas, head chef, Kiyi: “Turkish food is all about flavour, colours and aromas and sharing style meals is really important to me. The Kiyi menu will include plenty of family platters so the meal can be enjoyed across the table which is very traditional in Turkish culture.”

Those wishing to dine in privacy may opt for Kiyi’s private seating areas, while those wanting to dine outdoors can relax in the restaurant’s large outdoor dining area by the beach, complemented by stunning views of the Arabian gulf.

The Turkish restaurant, dotted in bronze chandeliers, splashes of azur on each table and traditional lanterns, is designed in a traditional Imperial Ottoman style with warm and earthy colours and Byzantine mosaic patterns.

Commenting on Kiyi’s launch was Henny Schaeffer, general manager, Fairmont Ajman: “Kiyi represents our commitment as a brand to bring world class dining to the emirate. As a leader on the culinary landscape in the region, Fairmont Ajman will draw in guests from all over the UAE to experience authentic cuisine and Turkish culture against the backdrop of a stunning restaurant.”

Kiyi is open daily (apart from Tuesdays) for dinner from 18:00–01:00.
