Campaign promotes the Sultanate's beauty

Overflowing with natural beauty and character, with an incomparable tourism product fusing luxury and cultural authenticity, the iconic Sultanate of Oman is striving to promote its offerings via digital channels, including a dedicated website and social media.

Governor of Musandam, HE Sayyid Khalifa bin al Mirdas al Busaidi, launched a brand new campaign in January entitled ‘Yes… to Oman’ to encourage Omani residents to take advantage of the remarkable tourism product before their eyes, by holidaying within Oman instead of travelling abroad, while simultaneously encouraging potential tourists to come and discover the dazzling beauty of the Sultanate.

Bader Mohd Al Azri, campaign leader, Oman Visitors Portal commented: "Oman Visitors Portal has always put an emphasis on online marketing and we believe that with our strong network of online channels including websites and social media, as well as the many members of Oman Visitors Portal programme, we will be able to expand the marketing and promotion efforts of this campaign and take it to a higher level of success."

The Oman market is one of the most prolific for using online channels to both research and book travel, so it makes sense for our first significant campaign in recent times to have a heavy online focus.

The campaign, running until December 31, 2014, will benefit through strategic partnerships with local tour operators and hotels and resorts. It has been carefully designed to promote the unique destination which promises to deliver numerous experiences.

It is being heavily promoted across Oman Visitors Portal – which is available in three languages: Arabic , English and Italian – as well via social media – which been translated into five languages. The content was moulded to narrate stories of Omani lifestyle and experiences in order to inspire viewers to discover it’s mysterious beauty.

Yes … to Oman’  shares with the public impressions, experiences and memories of the country, including its people, wildlife, scenery and culture via Facebook, Twitter and others. The campaign also aims to encourage media communities to share tips, recommendations, current happenings and facts about Oman using the #Yes_to_Oman hash-tag
